As a farmer and agricultural instructor, Maya cares and is very concerned about changes in the current agricultural environmental management. Seeing that there are still many farmers who rely on excessive chemical fertilizers, she actively campaigns, provides education and encourages farmers to apply organic farming practices.
As a person with a disability, Maya also wants to encourage a more disability-friendly agricultural sector. By joining the Indonesian Association of Women with Disabilities (HWDI), Maya wants to maximize her contribution to being able to create a community of farmers with disabilities that focuses on smart farming and sustainable practices. She is currently creating an inclusive hydroponic farming business.
