Currently, Rahma works as an administrative staffer in the disaster section at the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Medan, where her team is developing a climate change program focusing on teenagers and housewives. Housewives are the first educators for their children. Hence, they must be involved in the efforts to find solutions to the climate change problems - especially related to the behavior change efforts. With her educational background in psychology, Rahma is also interested in topics surrounding mental health. She believes the issue of mental health intersects in many other issues, including climate change. Therefore, there should be an effort to provide psychological assistance to vulnerable communities - including women and children who are affected by climate change. Rahma is also active in voicing mental health issues in discussion forums in Medan.
