A simple way that Irfan does as clear evidence of his concern for the environment is by cycling to reduce carbon emissions. He realized that the issue of climate change is very close to our daily lives, but many people are still ill-knowledge about it and how to overcome it. Irfan, currently working as a communications officer at the Central Indonesian Red Cross (PMI Pusat), was motivated to explore how to package effective messages through public campaigns on the issue of extreme heat, the impact of climate change.extreme heat) dampak dari perubahan iklim.
According to Irfan, the We Create Change program is in line with the program he is currently focusing on, where campaign elements and public education are the priority in disaster mitigation/adaptation and the impact of climate change. Through this program he hopes to gain new knowledge in processing complicated messages to make them easier to understand, and build policy advocacy campaigns involving cross-sectoral stakeholders.
