Besides carrying out his role as the chief coordinator at forest conservation volunteer movement Bandung Forestism, Qnosh, as he is usually called, is also an ambassador for West Java Disaster Risk Reduction (DKRB). Growing up and living in hilly Pangalengan, Qnosh witnessed significant changes in his hometown. Pengalengan, which is located in a plateau, was originally a calm and cool area. However, since the district became a bustling tourist area, the temperature becomes warmer and the area is full of garbage. The ongoing land conversion from green areas to housing and the tourism industry in Pangalengan also increases disaster risk. The issue motivates Qnosh to work with the Bandung Forestism community to campaign about the forest and climate change issues.
Qnosh's dream is to change the stigma around forests, advocate for responsible tourism, and nurture a deep appreciation of the environment among young people.
