Drawing from her personal experience as a survivor of abuse, Nurlaili Husna, commonly known as Una, is committed to starting a movement that provides support systems for women and child victims of sexual violence in Lampung. This support includes mental and legal assistance, as well as public campaigns to help survivors recover, come back stronger, and be empowered within their communities. Especially in Lampung, where 80% of sexual violence victims are women.
Una believes that public campaigns to raise awareness and support for victims are crucial. This is due to the fact that victims still face barriers to speaking out or reporting perpetrators, including the stigma they often experience, which may lead to victim-blaming. Through these campaigns, Una hopes to encourage the public to show empathy and take action to assist survivors when witnessing acts of sexual violence.
Using her social media platform, Una created the account @Rumahperak.id to foster public concern and provide a platform for discussion on issues of sexual violence. Currently, Una is involved in the Nasyiatul Aisyiyah Community, an organization within the Muhammadiyah that specifically supports young women.
