About WeSpeakUp.org
WeSpeakUp.org is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating spaces and breaking down barriers so that women and marginalized communities can speak out and advance equality.
We do this through capacity building, community engagement, and storytelling. Founded by women, we promote greater women’s participation and social movements.
Why Change is Needed
Many women and marginalized groups still face barriers to voicing their opinions, participating in decision-making, and accessing safe spaces to express their concerns.
Unfair systems, lack of access to training, and limited community support exacerbate these inequalities.
Changes We Have Made

WeSpeakUp
Muda Bersua(ra)
We have witnessed how social change occurs when women and young people are directly affected and strive to voice their concerns. However, challenges such as limited capacity, lack of access to support, and the absence of safe spaces make change difficult to achieve.
Through Muda Bersua(ra), we build community leadership as a key prerequisite for fostering participation in decision-making, both in digital spaces and within their communities.
Puan Bersua(ra)
We see how social change can take root when women have a space to share their experiences, build their capacity, and speak out about the issues they face in their communities.
Through Puan Bersuara, WeSpeakUp provides a space for learning, dialogue, and collaboration where women can develop their leadership skills. This program encourages women to boldly share their ideas and drive meaningful social change.
