Riska

Her hobby as a nature lover often takes Riska to explore mountains and beaches. However, she is often troubled with the way waste is managed in the climbing area. She often saw how irresponsible climbers just leave their trash on the mountain, without making any effort to bring it down, let alone manage it. This experience encouraged Riska to focus on campaigning for waste management at mountain and beach tourist sites in her hometown of Bolaang Mongondow Regency, North Sulawesi. Riska's real action was increasingly visible when she started to advocate for the government and approached Karang Taruna and the nature lover communities. Riska hopes that the city and village governments close to hiking and beach tourism sites can intervene and actively take initiative, for example procuring waste disposal infrastructure on hiking trails and beaches, as well as strengthening waste management systems up to the final landfill, or even exploring circular economy businesses, such as ecobricking as a solution.
