Desma is the director and a co-founder of WeSpeakUp.org. She has over 20 years of experience in communications and social change campaigns, partnerships, and management.

Prior to her current role, Desma worked with Change.org for over 8 years, starting as Director of Communications and Partnerships in Indonesia, and later serving as Partnership Lead at the Change.org Foundation, where she was responsible for building and managing relationships with the Change.org Foundation’s strategic partners in Asia and Africa. Since 2019, Desma has played a key role in designing and implementing the She Creates Change Program, which aims to empower women driving social change in Indonesia, particularly on issues of environmental protection, climate justice, and gender equality. Before working with Change.org, Desma served as Campaign Manager for WWF-Indonesia and as a journalist at Media Group.
