Puan Bersua(ra) is a women’s leadership program initiated by WeSpeakUp.org to create a safe space, build solidarity, and strengthen the capacity of women from diverse backgrounds. We believe that women’s voices are a vital force in achieving equality, justice, and sustainability.
Our Steps to Build a Women’s Movement
Gender-Sensitive & Inclusive Approach
We design every program with a focus on gender equality. All activities are designed to be inclusive and welcoming to young women, activists, community workers, and stay-at-home mothers who wish to contribute to social change.
Safe & Collective Space
Puan Bersua(ra) provides a safe space where women can share their experiences, find strength, and build courage together. We believe solidarity is the key to confronting discrimination and injustice.
Training & Coaching
Participants received intensive training on women’s leadership, community-based advocacy, storytelling, digital safety, and self-care. We also brought in mentors and facilitators with expertise in women’s empowerment.
Mindfulness & Healing
We understand that women’s struggles are often fraught with emotional and social challenges. For this reason, this program integrates mindfulness, healing, and collective care to ensure the movement remains sustainable.
Networking & Collective Impact
Puan Bersua(ra) alumni are part of the national network She Creates Change to expand collaboration, share resources, and amplify the impact of the gender equality movement across various regions.
